I don't usually find myself cheering on the protagonists of this author because they are all purposely portrayed in such an unlikable fashion, but Hyun is great. His character growth is fantastic and his willpower and empathy is outstanding. The story is so so so good and the art made me feel like I'm there, fighting the monster together with Hyun and the gang. Each Fast Pass episode cost five coins to read and could not be downloaded to read offline, unlike the publicly released episodes.

I don't typically read horror stories, but I gave this one a chance after I enjoyed Bastard, and was initially decently satisfied with it. But the story never properly explains why the disaster happens, at which scale it has affected humanity, or the range of possible outcomes. The whole story from start to finish takes place inside a single apartment complex, which I found particularly intriguing. I loved almost all the characters, but the MC in particular was quite realistic and very likeable - which let's be honest is kind of rare when it comes to this kind of stories. Set in the present day, a mysterious illness plagues the world. Everyone is turning into monsters and the only way to defeat them is to be as quiet and as violent as possible. Beginning with a reluctant protagonist, the apartment building this battle takes place in is filled with every kind of fear, hate, and love someone can feel in the midst of an apocalypse. Orated through as diverse of characters as you'd expect across tenants, anything revealed to the reader has to first be figured out within the story.
As the remaining survivors zipline to their haven, Eun-hyuk's monsterization turns him into a large tangled mass that completely covers the monsterized Hyun-soo, killing them both. Over the course of the series, many characters either die to monster attacks or succumb to monsterization, becoming the threats they so dreaded. After his family died in a vehicular accident, suicidal 18-year-old boy Cha Hyun-soo moves into Room 1410 of an apartment complex called Green Home. He and the people around him start being afflicted with strange symptoms, including malevolent talking voices and nosebleeds. One night, through his video door-phone, he witnesses his girl neighbor from Room 1411 transform into a human-eating monster. I'd understand if it was something like lezhin or tapas where the originals are behind.

There's a friendship & love interest bonding.This story made me addicted so far. My fav character are hyun, hyuk, jisu, Yuri, jayhyun, wook & ihyun. I can't believe some of my fav characters die😠- Ihyun,jayhyun & hyuk deserved to live n not dead. A lot of the set up is akin to classic zombie flicks, but as more is revealed to the main characters the story flourishes into something with another layer of depth and recurring digs at the human psyche. I'm avoiding any spoilers so I promise this is more than a simple-minded, monster-smashing thriller.
This narrow viewpoint makes for a gripping thriller as a lot of what's going on outside their experiences is kept in the dark and makes for a very intimate feeling horror. Hyun is a reclusive high schooler struggling with trauma and suicidal tendencies. He spends each day just barely clinging on to life, hating his family for turning a blind eye to everything he's suffered through and escaping from reality by spending all his time on the internet. Completely devoid of hope, he schedules his own suicide only to wake up the next day to find out that the entire world has ended and been taken over by monsters. After the plan to end his own life is interrupted, Hyun begins to wonder if the apocalypse is truly the end of the world or a chance to begin life anew. The women and children zipline to the hill first using all available pulleys.
It has a lot of ugly fights, but at its core, this is more a look at what it takes to make a person afraid. Ji-soo goes to Room 1408 and finds Hyun-soo who is hesitant to destroy the monster-turned-cocoon. Though she also perceives it as a possible threat, Ji-soo is just as hesitant to destroy the cocoon, and reveals to Hyun-soo about Eun-hyuk and Sang-wook being locked up.
